Friday morning we all met at the church in the early AM... every one was eager and full of anticipation. There were 18 in our group, the youngest was JT (entering 6th grade) and the oldest was Carol (79 years YOUNG and fresh out of back surgery and plenty of meds to prove it!) About a quarter of the group had been on a missions trip before, for the rest of us (like myself) this was our first time. Our group colorfully consisted of pastors, worship leaders, entrepreneurs, stay at home Moms/Dads, currently unemployed, business owners, IT guys, students and much more. The most evident picture the Lord gave me on this trip, from beginning to end, was that each person was very specifically chosen for this mission. We each had something very different to offer and each of us rose to the occasion. When we were knit in our Mothers' womb He had this weekend in mind, no doubt about it.
